It just keeps getting better!
Allegedly, we are learning that new Athletic Director, Bob Jones has had many of the former responsibilities of former Athletic Director, Ed Dalton removed from his job duties. It appears that all transportation of athletic events will now be handled by Transportation Director Levi Bristor, Dalton did the athletic transportation when he served as the athletic director. This appears to be an attempt to make it difficult or impossible for Bristor to coach baseball. It also raises many questions about the new Athletic Director's $75,000.00 salary with no experience and less to do, compared to Bristors $35,000.00 salary with experience and more to do. There is an Armageddon but its not financial, its in leadership by the new Superintendent who appears to be over his head in this job!

What happened to Financial Armageddon?
Some thoughts as I try to understand how this BOARD of business people is saving the tax payers money. I remember one of Mr. Keisling rambling speeches about the new administrator contract and how they had to pay for health care and this is just the first step in saving money. The second step my opinion, must have been trying to get rid of any coach who has their teams in the playoffs every year, that must save on transportation.[we know transportation, we have multiple bus drivers and former bus drivers on our board] The third step, I am guessing was to hire Levi Bristor as Transportation Director with no experience[and from all accounts he has done a great job] and over pay him at $35,000. [no wait that was the previous BOARD] This BOARD, the business people hired an Athletic Director for $75,000 with no experience and no disrespect a stunning 35% winning percentage as a basketball coach, that makes business sense. Don't forget we do have a former basketball great on the BOARD, he must have been a large part in this decision. Step four, in what I am calling the Keisling Doctorine,im guessing would be to transfer Mr. Dalton to a teaching position and pay him 80,000 instead of $88,000 as an Athletic Director who has to work 250 day instead of 190 days, do that math. Well it is reality TV at its best the BOARD has a list I will fill you in on who allegedly is next up for the Elite 8, as well as look back at Burgettstown High School and one of their graduates!

TRINITY AREA BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING 7.15.10
I missed this meeting but was brought up to date on the details. Here is my bullet report of highlights and insights from the meeting by people who were at the meeting.
1. Alledgedly, Tom Bodnovich was very difficult to understand again, and he made numerous mistakes again on when to vote and what was being voted on, and he informed everyone that an executive session was held to discuss personnel problems.[its personel matters Tommy] His Uniontown or Redstone or whatever education did not go over Roberts Rules very well.
2. No matter what you read in the Observer-Reporter the BOARD passed a policy prohibiting Levi Bristor from coaching baseball for Trinity. The five votes to end Levi's successful baseball tenure, Interval, Clutter, Day, Keisling, Bodnovich.
3. Why doesn't the BOARD consider a policy on physical fitness for BOARD members especially the Elite Eight? It will help make them more productive and set an example for the students.
4. Why do BOARD members bring their children to the meetings?
5. Allegedly Mr. Keisling was going to begin one of his rambling segments, but Mr. McWreath pointed out to him the information he was going to read was displayed on the screen above the BOARD members. It appeared that Mr. Keisling was disappointed he did not get to talk.
6. Supposedly, Mr. Clemens stated the BOARD did not want the policy about who can coach, that a former superintendent thought it was good idea. But allegedly that superintendent was directed by Mr. Bodnovich to write that policy.
7. Allegedly, Ken Bonnell gives the BOARD many of their good ideas.
8. Allegedly, Dr. Kasunich appears to be worn out by the Elite eight!
9. Allegedly, when Mr. Day cast the fifth vote to end Levi Bristor's baseball coaching career at Trinity, it appeared he had trouble speaking.
And one final thought given to me by the smartest man I know, with our new technology initiative, smart boards for every classroom, lap tops for every teacher, how about clip on mikes so you can hear the Elite Eight speak at BOARD Meetings!!!
Also don't forget Trinity Day at Kennywood!

Important Questions to ask BOARD Members
A few important questions to ask BOARD Members:
1. Did two current BOARD Members one who was not on the BOARD at the time, demand Dr. Tim Marks suspend a football player for the Mars playoff game?
2. How was the non BOARD members at the time of the Mars Game she did not take office until December given confidential student information?
3. Did a current BOARD member try to have a wrestling coach fired while they were not on the BOARD and have no children in the program?
4. Did Blackhawk try to remove its Athletic Director this past year?
5. Did any of the current BOARD members play high school athletics at the Varsity level?
6. How many of the current BOARD members have an advanced degree?
7. Why were four members of the Trinity Hall of Fame Committee removed arbitrarily from the organization?
8. Why were those four selected for removal?
9. Did any current BOARD member ever enter a school without permission and remove a ceiling tile?
10. Was any current BOARD Member ever in a physical altercation at the High School?
Finally some good news:
It appears the Trinity Area School Board will reverse itself on its policy about administrators coaching and Mr. Bristor will be allowed to continue to coach!!!
