SCOTT DAY CLAIMS DALTON AND STAFF WILL BE GONE IN JANUARY!

Allegedly, Board Member Scott Day has told people that Ed Dalton and the football staff will be gone in January.  Day who wants a relative to be the football coach and the athletic director has been allegedly unhappy with Ed Dalton ever since he would not fire former Wrestling Coach Jeff Bricker.  Day, actually according to a very good source wanted to himself evaluate Jeff Bricker, who was a two time collegiate All American in Wrestling, and won two WPIAL Team Wrestling Championships as a coach. Scott Day's wrestling resume included being a fan and he quit wrestling in high school according to classmates of Day.  This should make the Christmas Holidays interesting and will really unite our group again for January. [get the auditorium ready]
Remember Athletic Director Bobby Jones told the fall coaches that NO positions would be opened from the fall season and that neither he or Superintendent Paul Kasunich would support or recommend such a move of opening a coaching position.  But maybe Kasunich had to make some promises to keep his job!
Not that Athletic Czar Scott Day cares but our football team has made the WPIAL playoffs six consecutive years and was the only Trinity Fall Sports team to make the playoffs this year, posting a 6 & 3 mark tying for second in the section before losing to West Allegheny.  The Hiller Football Program has been 36 - 19 over the past 6 regular seasons, 2 and 6 in the playoffs.  Dalton has about 140 career wins about 60 of those at Trinity.  I received this information from the Post Gazette.

  1. How can it be that they are so dead-set on ridding Trinity of Dalton but fail to care that our new AD doesn't do his job or that our superintendent has questionable moral fiber or that they hired the worst possible company to run the cafeteria or that they are up to their necks in legal fees, lawsuits and their own bull#$@!? How can Dalton still be the priority?

  2. Dalton's shortcomings are nothing compared to our Superintendents, AD's and School Boards. It seems that maybe our Board are the ones that are "all about sports"!!!

  3. Scott Day and his Daddy need to be gone in January. He has been planning this way back before he even ran for schoolboard. They held secret meetings at his brothers house with the new board members and their cronies. Don't forget he also has an axe to grind because his wife was offered a teaching job and it wasn't the specific job in the specific grade and at the specific elementry school. So now he's mad. Really Scottie...Do us a favor take your singlet and go home

  4. This is not on the topic, but did Paul Kasunich tell a group of teachers that if a student was sleeping in his class he would bounce his head off the desk. Can anyone confirm this story?

  5. Scott Day has the bright idea to stop giving Trinity employees $90.00 a month to opt out of health insurance. This has been saving the district tons of money. We have been urging all Trinity employees to get on a family plan immediately after the district stops paying the money. We are talking hundreds of thousands here. Thank Scott Day - he would rather cost the taxpayers money than give Trinity employees a perk. I will be waiting at the polls to be the first to vote against this guy. Also, I pulled all of my insurance from his agency once he took office.

  7. YES that is accurate, I believe he actually used the word "bash" instead of bounce. many high school faculty members were there.

Way to go Dr. K, women and children getting theirs!

  8. "Bouncing" or "bashing"....you would think that our Superintendent would learn from his mistakes. Please teachers, don't trust this idea of his either, it will cost you your reputation, embarrass the district and cost the taxpayers money!!!

  9. Bang, bounce or bash should prove to be a great learning tool for our new Bullying program! And people wonder why there is no respect for our leader and morale is at an all time low.
