Celebrating the season, some Holiday gifts for the BOARD and others

Here are a few gifts I wish for some members of the Trinity Board and administration would get this Holiday Season!
Sandra Clutter - Her own toy bus world, where she could put stop signs and anything else where she wanted and also to be givin the title of bus queen. [oops she is known as the bus queen]
Scott Day - Athletic ability so he could really talk about sports without people laughing.
Colleen Interval - A big bag to put all the balls she counts in and a personality.
Henry Clemens - The same as Sandy only you are the bus king!
Jack Keisling - A chance to pick another superintendent as qualified and as mild mannered as your first choice.
Tom Bodnovich - A WPIAL Gold Medal that you could show everyone and tell people about your imagined accomplishments as you retire from our Board to return to your home on fantasy island.
Tamara Salvatori - A phone with unlimited text and cell calls.
Dennis McWreath - The courage to speak in front of people the way you talk behind their backs.
James Knapp - A mental health evaluation for serving with the before mentioned elite eight on this board.

Dr. Paul Kasunich - The book "Ghandi"
Mr. Dennis Makel - The starting solicitor job for the school district instead of second string.
Mr. Donald Snoke - The title Principal/Athletic Director if that is what you really want to be at Trinity.
Mr. Bobby Jones - All of the Milli Vanilli albums, you understand them better than most.
Mr. Ed Dalton - The top sports story of 2011 instead of the number two story, "Dalton awarded 1,000,000 by judge"

SCOTT DAY CLAIMS DALTON AND STAFF WILL BE GONE IN JANUARY!

Allegedly, Board Member Scott Day has told people that Ed Dalton and the football staff will be gone in January.  Day who wants a relative to be the football coach and the athletic director has been allegedly unhappy with Ed Dalton ever since he would not fire former Wrestling Coach Jeff Bricker.  Day, actually according to a very good source wanted to himself evaluate Jeff Bricker, who was a two time collegiate All American in Wrestling, and won two WPIAL Team Wrestling Championships as a coach. Scott Day's wrestling resume included being a fan and he quit wrestling in high school according to classmates of Day.  This should make the Christmas Holidays interesting and will really unite our group again for January. [get the auditorium ready]
Remember Athletic Director Bobby Jones told the fall coaches that NO positions would be opened from the fall season and that neither he or Superintendent Paul Kasunich would support or recommend such a move of opening a coaching position.  But maybe Kasunich had to make some promises to keep his job!
Not that Athletic Czar Scott Day cares but our football team has made the WPIAL playoffs six consecutive years and was the only Trinity Fall Sports team to make the playoffs this year, posting a 6 & 3 mark tying for second in the section before losing to West Allegheny.  The Hiller Football Program has been 36 - 19 over the past 6 regular seasons, 2 and 6 in the playoffs.  Dalton has about 140 career wins about 60 of those at Trinity.  I received this information from the Post Gazette.

ODD AND ENDS AND QUESTIONS I WOULD LIKE TO ASK?

1. Why did the three women Colleen Interval, Tamara Salvatori, and Sandra Clutter, all support the superintendent?
2. Is it true one of the women is trying to get a student removed from her childs classroom because the student is violent?
3. Do we pay health insurance for Dr. Paul Kasunich's ex wife? [what if that benefit existed for every employee, no wonder he volunteered to pay so much on his health insurance]
4. Is it true Paul Kasunich went to his hockey match the day of the bus accident, and many Trinity Students were taken to the hospital?
5. Why was the PFA removed if Dr. Kasunich was innocent?
6. Does anyone think a polygraph would be a great way for our Superintendent to clear his name?
Finally, I heard our School District is featured in a national magazine including pictures, that will be on stands in January.  Merry Christmas!

Setting the record straight!

Just so everyone knows the facts Sandra Clutter, Colleen Interval, Tamara Salvatori, Scott Day, Jim Knapp, support keeping the Superintendent on the job at full pay.  Jack Keisling, Dennis McWreath, Henry Clemens, and Tom Bodnovich, want Paul Kasunich on unpaid leave.  Its not a mirage! The three women support Dr. Kasunich!
It is a real possibility that Trinity Area School District Tax Payers will be paying for three seperate lawsuits in court at roughly the same time.
Our educational consultant Dr. James Manley recommended the following people to our district for employment, Paul Kasunich, Bobby Jones, the Butler law firm, thanks for those blessings.  Are we sure James Manley really wrote that educational review of our school district, and didn't just change some of the words from a review he wrote while at Pine Richland.  We are checking on that factoid!
Are we losing another administrator to another school district? Are we sure Bobby Jones is doing his work or is Don Snoke still saving the day, and if he is who is doing his evaluations and principal work?   Where is our new assistant principal we hired from five hours away is he commuting and misses the entire day, instead of most of the day like our other administrator long distance comuter! And please don't ask the former AD to fix something so we can play a game its embarassing.
Why did the students stop complaining about the cafeteria?  Praise the lord the slushy machines are back for my children!
As a former Assistant District Attorney Mr. Makel should stop trying to block people from free speech, and sunshine law rights.  Of all people he should think about how sometimes your own words will comeback to haunt you!

FURTHER LITIGATION AGAINST THE DISTRICT COULD BE FILED AS EARLY AS TOMORROW!

1.Words can't do it justice I will wait and post the news clips after they post them online tonight.
link kdka link paul kasunich
2. Interesting development though, alledgedly both a student, and a coach, were removed from their sports last year, because they were charged with crimes and their names appeared in the paper.  The removal was directed by our current Superintendent Dr. Kasunich, both now have legal representation.
3. Here is an idea, someone said tonight that makes sense, ask Dr. Paul Kasunich to take a polygraph and put an end to this situation quickly!  It happens many times in the corporate world from which he came, he should be all for this to clear his name once and for all.
4. Colleen Interval would not volunteer for a committee, but she now will count all the balls, for the various sports teams.  Tennis is done stay tuned for which balls she counts next.
5. I thought Tom Breth was our attorney who did contracts and employment issues.  Why did Dennis Makel do the contract for the food service director, or is that another lie?
6. Did Paul Kasunich go into the executive session when he was the topic, is that a conflict of interest?
7. Tonights meeting was covered by KDKA, WPXI, WTAE, Observer-Reporter, Post-Gazette, Tribune Review, and probably more.

Board Sites Kasunich's outstanding reputation for reason to bring him back to work!

post gazette story today
http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/10341/1108949-100.stm

Check the link to the post Gazette if you think my headline is a lie.  I don't know who they talked to maybe the consultant who also is reponsible for us having Bobby Jones, and who could not find the first PFA issued against Kasunich, which was withdrawn.  You need to read the first PFA, and then tell me if it seems very similar to something you just read on this site yesterday!  This coverup is Watergate like from covering for the Superintendent, to other people doing the Athletic Directors job, ask the winter coaches, to the Nutritian Inc. scam.  I for one think people need to stand up!  Where is the teachers union on this issue?  What does the administration think?  Remind our male students its OK to put your girl's head through the wall if you threaten a lawsuit? Where is the battered women's group?  From Bodnovich's lies, to a female Board member saying that Mrs. Tartaglione, might have deserved what happened, is anyone else appalled!  Finally, remember when Tom Bodnovich and Tammara Salvatore[before she was even on the Board] were trying to get a student athlete suspended, they didn't want anyone representing Trinity who doesn't show the highest integrity.  HELLO LOOK IN THE MIRROR MR. BODNOVICH, MRS. SALVATORE WHAT DO YOU SEE!  I wonder what you would have been like Tommy if it was your daughter, or Colleen Interval your daughter, or Jack Keisling, or Dennis McWreath, your daughter.  Explain to the crowd Thursday so we know when it is OK to hit a woman we all need that defined for us!  Wow, what a hypocrisy!  Also tell us who the other women is to clear all the rumors swirling around town, they make me sick.  Finally, for you legal Morons...Paul Kasunich was CRIMINALLY charged with assault, Darlene Tartaglione was criminally charged with NOTHING!  That is after the police arrived on the scene and investigated, this is not Civil its CRIMINAL!!  Its not a lawsuit it's a CRIME!

THE UGLY TRUTH!

[] It appears reading the language of what the School District is not saying Dr. Paul Kasunich will be allowed to return to work this week.
[] How did the consultant we paid to identify Superintendent candidates not know that Paul Kasunich had a previous PFA withdrawn in 2009.
[] How does Mr. Breth allegedly a personal freind of  Paul Kasunich, not have A MAJOR CONFLICT OF INTEREST in this process.
[] It will be interesting how the representives from the Washington County Battered Women's Group deals with this decision to bring Kasunich back to work.
[] I just hope this groups latest out of town hire from East Stroudsburg, has no issues, or is he going to commute from 5 hours away to work!!

KEN BONNELL TOLD EVERYONE THIS BOARD WOULD MAKE HISTORY!

Read the attached link about our superintendent as more embarassing news about our school district hit the airwaves today. Just think the Ed Dalton lawsuit goes to court on Wednesday.  Since Thomas Breth does all of our attorney work now why do we still pay Dennis Makel.  Its obvious this BOARD has NO faith in his ability.  It now appears that two of our BOARD members the shoe traders were close to being sighted for trespassing at Trinity South, as again they forgot they are only BOARD Members during meetings.  And it appears the BOARD will attempt to close Trinity South for next year as soon as next week, and move the eighth graders to the high school for next year.  I will get you more details later in the weekend, I have attached the Kasunich information from WPXI. The good news is the entire community is now watching not just the athletic groups!

Did some BOARD members know about the Kasunich assault day[s] earlier?

Wondering how this school district became such a mess so fast.  How many more negative headlines and news stories are we going to see in the coming weeks.  This all comes on the one year anniversary of this terrible board taking office.  Now maybe the most serious allegations of all, how many BOARD Members knew about the arrest and did nothing hoping it would not come to light!  Our sources, say multiple BOARD Members allegedly were told before the BOARD as a group was informed of the crime?  That is like Watergate as the cover up will now become part of the story.  Our group has asked WPXI to ask this question at the next BOARD Meeting.  This should be another embarassing week on the news and in the papers with our school district.
On a side note but more negative attention, it appears that a National Magazine has interviewed Coach Dalton and is doing a story on the entire situation. It will be interesting to see the National Magazines take of the entire situation.
In case you were wondering we are now getting 3000 hits on average per story that we write, good enough to get a sponsor, now thats funny!

I HAVE MANY QUESTIONS THAT NEED ANSWERED BY OUR ELECTED SCHOOL BOARD?

click this link to read post gazette article
http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/10329/1106074-298.stm

1. Dr. Kasunich was arrested, not the female, therefore Dr. Kasunich was found by the police to have committed a crime , correct?
2. What would we have done to a male student who assaulted a female student, or a teacher, or a coach, or a custodian, or a cafeteria worker, or a principal, or even a volunteer?
3. Don't we have a Board member that already allegedly assaulted an administrator about a year ago on school grounds?
4. When Mr. Bodnovich says Dr. Kasunich enjoys a good reputation according to who?
5. Is Dr. Kasunich divorced, if so why according to his contract is the Trinity Area School District paying his former wife's health insurance?
6. This Board has contracted Nutrician Inc. almost permanently insisted upon by Dr. Kasunich why?
7. This Board hired Bobby Jones, why?
8. This Board hired Dr. Kasunich, why?
9. Who is the alleged other women in this triangle that might tell us much more?
10. Where was Jack Keisling today for the press conference, he told us he picked Dr. Kasunich almost by himself when Dr. Kasunich got hired?
11. Are we really worried about a bullying policy, we all know who the bullies are in this district?  [that will change this spring]
12. Who is going to be the next Board President for this circus act?

GIBSONIA, Pa. -- The Trinity School District superintendent is facing simple assault charges after police said he got into a physical fight with his girlfriend.
Northern Regional police were called to Dr. Paul Kasunich's home in Gibsonia around 9 p.m. on Monday.
According to investigators, Kasunich threw his girlfriend into a wall after she accused him of cheating. Kasunich told police that the woman tried to attack him with a vase first.
Police said when they arrived, the woman's shirt was nearly torn off her body and she had marks on her back and bruises on her neck.
According to the criminal complaint, "the female started to hit, kick and punch him. She then grabbed a vase and tried to hit him with it. That's when he grabbed her by the throat and pushed her into a wall."

I wonder who the other women is stay tuned?

Remember Jack Keisling hand picked Kasunich, he told us so, nice job Jack!

BOBBY JONES ARTICLE EMAILED TO ME TODAY

Nine is enough

Jones ‘at peace’ with his resignation

April 22, 2008 - By Cory Giger,cgiger@altoonamirror.com
LORETTO — Bobby Jones always believed he was on the cusp of turning things around at St. Francis.
For years he has said things like, ‘‘We’re there, we’re right there’’ when asked how close the program was to winning.
Actually, the Red Flash were never close to being ‘‘there.’’ With an 18-68 record over the past three seasons, they essentially were nowhere.
Jones never figured out how to fix things, and now that burden will fall to someone else.
Jones resigned Monday, ending his nine-year tenure at St. Francis. He compiled an 85-167 record, including this past season’s 6-23 mark.
‘‘I’m very much at peace with this decision,’’ Jones said.
It was, both he and university officials said, a mutual decision. Jones was still under contract to the university, but he wouldn’t disclose if that contract was good through next season or beyond.
‘‘I can’t get into contract details,’’ SFU president Father Gabriel Zeis, citing university policy, said, ‘‘but he did have some time left.’’
Jones had been involved in ongoing discussions with athletic director Bob Krimmel since the Red Flash season ended March 1. The university conducted an evaluation process of the coach and took its time with the decision before announcing it late Monday evening.
‘‘It became a decision that was best for both sides,’’ Krimmel said. ‘‘I’m excited to go on now, and I think [Jones is] excited to go on.’’
St. Francis plans to conduct a nationwide search for Jones’ replacement, but there’s no timetable to fill the vacancy. Krimmel called the next several weeks ‘‘critical.’’
‘‘We want it to move quickly, but we also want to find the right coach,’’ the AD said.
The men’s basketball program is the school’s most marketable asset, and Krimmel said he knows ‘‘this is a very important hire for the university.’’
Jones’ assistant coaches — Rob Krimmel, Joey Goodson and Winston Smith — will remain in place for the time being. Their fate will be determined by the next head coach.
The decision to part ways with Jones has a major impact on the Krimmel family. The dad is the AD, and he had to make a ruling that could directly affect his son’s job.
‘‘I have to go home to his mom at night,’’ Bob Krimmel joked.
‘‘When I took the job,’’ he added, ‘‘we talked about this could happen.’’
St. Francis will form a search committee that will make a recommendation to Zeis, who has a clear idea of what he’s looking for in a head coach.
First, he said the individual must meet the Franciscan values and mission of the university and must be a good representative of the school.
The coach also must be able to instill confidence in the players and engage them to believe they can win.
An ability to market the basketball program successfully will be key. Zeis wants the new coach to be able to excite fans and get them to believe the Flash can win.
The university’s commitment to winning has been questioned because Jones kept his job so long. Zeis assured winning is a priority at SFU.
‘‘I don’t say that we’re going to have a winning season every year,’’ Zeis said, ‘‘but I want to have a majority of the seasons that this coach comes in to be winning seasons.’’
Lastly, the university president expects the new coach to have a universal vision and understand where basketball fits into the grand scheme of things at St. Francis.
‘‘It is a quality job,’’ Zeis said.
It’s also a tough job that comes with unmistakable constraints, and Zeis acknowledged that when saying the school has to be realistic in its search. St. Francis, with an enrollment of 2,000, is a tiny Division I university in a secluded area, making it a tough sell to recruits.
The school also can’t afford to pay a coach big bucks.
‘‘Certain people may want to come and coach here, but they may not be able to because financially it just wouldn’t be in their best interests,’’ Zeis said.
‘‘I take full responsibility for not being able to produce the number of wins that our fans deserve,’’ Jones said.
Jones, who lives in Hollidaysburg, has always been a loyal supporter of St. Francis. He endeared himself to many with his outgoing personality and represented the school well, big reasons why he was able to coach so long despite the poor record.
The Flash reached the Northeast Conference Tournament just four times in Jones’ nine seasons and never won a playoff game. His best chance for success came during the 2004-05 campaign, when a squad led by scoring sensation Darshan Luckey went 15-12 in the regular season. That team had a lot of pieces in place, but it lost in the opening round of the NEC Tournament at Long Island.
‘‘Of my nine years,’’ Jones said, ‘‘that year really bothers me the most. ... That team, I thought we underachieved. That was the year I thought all the hard work, all the recruiting efforts’’ would help the program compete for an NEC championship.
Luckey gave up his final year of eligibility, and the Flash crashed to a 4-24 record the next season. They went 8-21 in 2006-07 before another disastrous campaign this past season.
Jones said he has no immediate plans and will take some time to decide if he’ll get back into coaching or pursue another venture. He also wanted to stress how appreciative he is of the Red Flash community.
‘‘Our fans have been great,’’ he said. ‘‘Having the opportunity to stay here for nine years, I certainly feel very fortunate and very blessed.’’

BOBBY JONES SAYS BOARD MEMBERS HAVE AGENDAS

Athletic Director Bobby Jones stated at a coaches meeting of many of the Trinity Coaches that he understands that at least eight of the Board Members have their own agendas. It has been reported to us that Jones also told all the fall coaches that their jobs are safe. Jones also reported he doesn't talk to Board members and really does not have time to deal with their personal agendas. Jones also brought up that he is not going to defend his work schedule he is available by phone or email if anyone needs to talk with him. I don't know what to make of this information, but the coaches stated he said it over and over that he doesn't listen to Board members.
Principal Don Snoke from the same meeting allegedly seems to be making many of the decisions with Mr. Jones. Mr. Snoke and Mr. Keruskin it appears are now in charge of facility agreements according to Snoke. Mr. Snoke also stated he has fixed the scheduling software for athletics, so eligibility will now begin to be monitored for winter sports. He also will now be involved in evaluating coaches, and will begin this process next week. Talk about a fulltime job all this and his principal duties!
These reports are from multiple coaches, i am on my way to Board meeting all tell you more later.

NOT A PART-TIME JOB!

I have tried to stay off opinion and on facts, it is time to give an opinion based on facts. We removed an Athletic Director who lived for his job, and his involvement with our students(ask a student), and had major influence in the WPIAL and other local athletic organizations. We removed an Athletic Director who pretty much ran the department almost all by himself, scheduling, finances, transportation, equipment, facilities. We removed an athletic director who lives in our community, and had children graduate from our school and who upon being hired here moved into our community with his family. I won't even get into the football coaching side but I will say the cheer at every home game we love Ed Dalton might send a message to the BOARD. We then replaced our Athletic Director with a person who never worked in a high school, never was an Athletic Director, lives an hour from the school ONE WAY, and does not seem to work very hard from EVERYONE's account. But don't take my word for it ask a principal, or a supervisor, or a coach, or a teacher, about how the athletic/activities spectrum is collapsing in our school district. Ask about Powder Puff Football Night, no security, no administrator, no pep rally,NO,NO,NO you get it. You will get an earful, but because most of the administrators, will not talk on the record, because the other outsider, the superintendent, who lives an hour away, and left his first superintendent job, after 1 1/2 years I wonder why? Enough is enough!! SEVENTY-FIVE THOUSAND no experience, no desire, disaster after disaster, why? To prove a point? Fix this can someone fix this there has to be a solution? Corporations fix promotions and demotions daily, do we want to be in the paper anymore? Lunches, Lawsuits, on and on?

Bring Bodnovich back fast!

After a BOARD meeting with Jack Keisling running the meeting it became apparent to me that Tom Bodnovich is John Kennedy compared to Jack Keisling with a micraphone. On occasion I wonder if Keisling even knows where is or what he is talking about and how condescending he is even to the other BOARD members. Here are my thoughts and I am glad so many people are reading this blog it shows how high the level of concern is with this group of people.
1. Why did we fix the lunches that all the students and staff liked was it a personal conflict between one BOARD member and the food service director, and now she is right in the middle of the mess she created, now thats funny!
2. I still want to know why BOARD members are not required to get clearances and drug tested, especially since they keep showing up at schools and around our students.
3. It now appears Don Snoke changed the seating at the stadium, I find that hard to believe.
4. After listening to the bullying talk maybe we need a bullying policy for BOARD members who think they can do whatever they want which includes scream at the superintendent.
5. The superintendent has NO leadership skills and never even gives an opinion.
6. I had to begin post moderation on this site because the Blackhawk people now read and post terrible things about Paul Kasunich, please keep your posts civil.
7. Why do BOARD members park illegally in no parking zones for BOARD meetings, don't they have to follow the rules?
8. After reading what athletic director's days are like in the Post-Gazette, at Trinity it appears our athletic director's day is much more like George Castanza from Seinfeld's job with the NY Yankees, and not like a real athletic director.
9. Did we really nominate an assistant principal then not select him in a public meeting? Isn't Jack Keisling in charge of personel committee? How did he not like the process he made it...lol
10. Soccergate is about to begin PIAA has or is about to be informed of the violations by our school district.
11. Ask yourself who ruined the food service? Who hates the former athletic director? Who hates athletes? Who eliminated Levi Bristor as a baseball coach by policy? Who parks anywhere? Who enters the school illegally? Who is only about a personal agenda? you should get it by now
12. Waiting to get legal costs in the last few month's as soon as I do you will have them.
I think the couple years central office experience is really showing now as the BOARD is now at each others throats, and at the superintendents throat, and he does not have any idea how to stop it. Maybe he should read his own contract and make the BOARD follow it.

RFP for Cafeteria under investagation?

Yes thats a picture of a full lunch served in our school district!!! A few notes while wondering at what point you put the word gate at the end of the food service drama and call it Nutritiangate. Allegedly the RFP was written by Nutritian Inc. that Trinity used to request vendors, well now this has been reported so stay tuned for further insight. Why did we wait until August to do the request anyway, when we informed the food service director in May? Is it true that Nutritian Inc. asked for and received from Paul Kasunich, free and reduced lunch list at least two weeks prior to being hired as a consultant? Do we really store the food for Washington School Districts Food Service at Trinity East? How do you know what inventory you are using? Did Washington School District really come to the Middle School and borrow products like coffee, is that legal? Did all the vendors have the same process to become our school districts food service provider? Are there snow days built in the RFP or do we pay for snow days? Did 12 school districts not renew with Nutritian Inc. and why? What happened with the billing and gift cards at Brownsville? The real question is WHY, whats behind the URGENCY, is there more to the story?
Speaking of a nepotism policy what about homecoming candidates?
It is not possible the hours you travel to and from work as an administrator count as work hours?
Did we play a sixth grade girls in a middle school soccer match thus eliminating their senior year eligibility? If so did we report this violation or did we sweep another one under the rug? Be careful people take videos and pictures of matches, so make sure we do the right thing. Are we ever going to hire an assistant principal at the high school and what is the secret hiring process we now employ for administrators?

Expected budget shortfall in Blackhawk turns into surplus
By: Bob Bauder
Beaver County Times

CHIPPEWA TWP. — A suspected shortfall in Blackhawk Area School District’s 2010-11 budget wasn’t actually a shortfall, the superintendent said Friday.

Superintendent Michelle Miller said about $250,000 in federal stimulus revenue was entered on a wrong line item in the previous year’s budget. As a result, numbers did not match up when she and business Manager Vince Belczyk began working on this year’s budget.

Complicating matters was a break in budget continuity with the resignations of former business manager Eric Brandenburg and Superintendent Paul Kasunich, Miller said.

“That’s part of the issue,” she said. “The two people who were overseeing how that was coming in and how it was coded as we were creating this new budget, weren’t here.”

That made it harder to track.

School directors approved a 1.5 mill tax increase, instead of a 1 mill hike that had been proposed, to address what they believed would be a shortfall. Now Blackhawk is looking at a surplus. Miller said she isn’t yet sure of the exact amount.

“We’re going to have to make a decision now on how were going to use that money,” she said.

She said the school board is split over whether it should go toward ongoing capital improvements or an expected hike in employee pension contributions over the next few years. They will take up the issue at future board meetings.

Blackhawk board clears AD, will pay some legal costs
By: Bob Bauder Beaver County Times

CHIPPEWA TWP. — Blackhawk School Board has issued a public statement clearing longtime Athletic Director Jack Fullen of wrongdoing and agreeing to pay $1,000 toward legal costs he incurred last year as the result of a district investigation.

The school board agreed to remit the money so long as Fullen agrees in writing to release the district from all legal liabilities, Superintendent Paul Kasunich said.

The action taken during Thursday’s school board meeting was the result of an investigation of the athletic department, but it was never clear exactly what prompted the probe.

The previous school board initiated it, and most of the members have left office.

School directors approved the statement and payment by 5-2 vote with Joyce Perri and Geraldine Pander dissenting. Director Don Inman, who voted in favor, said Perri stated publicly that she opposed the measure because she had not seen the release from Fullen.

Neither Perri nor Pander could be reached Friday for comment.

Fullen, of Patterson Township, who has served at Blackhawk since 1974 as athletic director, assistant high school principal, superintendent of buildings and grounds, assistant superintendent and superintendent, would not comment when reached Friday.

His attorney James Ross of Ambridge said he had asked the board on behalf of Fullen for the statement to end any remaining controversy.

“He did nothing wrong, and that’s what this is confirming,” Ross said.

It was apparent last year that the old board was intent on firing Fullen for an undisclosed reason.

Kasunich reported in July that Pittsburgh attorney Daniel Delaney, who was retained by the district, had concluded the investigation, but neither he nor the board would reveal what was found.

Perri, then a school board candidate, told The Times that the district had issued Fullen a letter in June, informing him that his employment been terminated and ordering him to vacate his high school office. A second letter, she said, threatened to have him physically removed if he did not leave voluntarily. She would not reveal the source of the information.

Two previous board members — Jake Barsottini, now a supervisor in Patterson Heights, and Deborah Lambert — reported that at least part of the controversy involved the falsification of swimming records by swimming coach Jeff Jackman, who since has retired.

Inman said on Friday that he reviewed Delaney’s report and found nothing to indicate Fullen did anything wrong.

“It was ridiculous,” he said. “I’m not supposed to say what I read, but there was nothing there. Why it ever got to that level is beyond me.”

Inman said he voted in favor of the resolution because it was the right thing to do.

“I think it’s justified to reimburse the money,” he said. “It should have never happened, but it did, so we’re trying to clear up old wounds and make things right.”

Jun. 23--CHIPPEWA TWP. -- Incoming Blackhawk School Board members on Monday decried $20,000 performance bonuses that the current board awarded last week to two top administrators, saying the money was excessive and unjustified.
But a school director, who voted in favor of the bonuses, said they were more than warranted for employees who far exceeded expectations over the last year.

"I actually was able to measure their achievements, and their achievements were outstanding," said Jake Barsottini, who heads the board's finance committee. "They exceeded their goals on every position they had."

On Thursday, the board unanimously approved $20,000 bonuses for Superintendent Paul Kasunich and assistant Superintendent Michelle Miller. The bonuses came on top of a 3 percent salary increase the pair received at the beginning of the school year.

Kasunich earns $108,000 and Miller $97,850 annually. The average salary for a school superintendent in Beaver County this year is $108,315, according to the Beaver Valley Intermediate Unit.

The board last year approved $15,000 performance bonuses for Kasunich and Miller.

"I'm appalled," said Don Inman of Patterson Township, one of five new directors who will be seated on the school board in January. "Basically what they've done is they've given $70,000 to two administrators over the last 10 months, and the question is for what?"

For one thing, Barsottini said, Kasunich saved the district about $1.2 million without cutting services. He said Kasunich and Miller also upgraded educational programs, improved student performance and improved the district in other ways.

Inman and Cindy Burger of Chippewa Township, another of the new directors, questioned the process by which the bonuses were awarded. They also questioned the timing during a national recession.

"I think everyone is concerned about the economy, and I think the voters spoke loud and clear (in the primary) that they're concerned about the way the board spends the district's funds," Burger said. "I was not pleased when they spent the money that way."

Blackhawk building foes file complaint

Mar. 14--CHIPPEWA TWP. -- Residents opposed to a Blackhawk School District building project have filed a formal complaint with the Pennsylvania Department of Education, alleging the district has failed to meet state funding requirements.

The voluminous document -- more than 70 pages complete with diagrams, aerial photographs and statistical information -- outlines 13 objections residents have with the plans.

Blackhawk administrators have proposed closing Highland Middle School in favor of a $36.5 million addition at the high school that would include classrooms, administrative offices, a new gymnasium, and other upgrades to the building and grounds. The district has reported that it can receive state reimbursement for up to 20 percent of construction costs.

The project has triggered strong opposition from residents who favor a less expensive middle school renovation. Opponents aim to delay the project and eventually stop it by electing a new school board majority this year.

Last month, the board voted to send the plans to the education department for review as the first part of a lengthy, multistep process known as PlanCon in acquiring state funding.

Under the state school code, residents are permitted to lodge an official complaint in such cases if they believe a district has not met requirements.

The complaint was filed by Cynthia A. Burger of Chippewa Township and Frank Matsukas and Donald Inman, both of Patterson Township. It asks Education Secretary Gerald Zahorchak to cease processing the district's request until the department can investigate.

Education department spokesman Michael Race said the department received the complaint and is reviewing it to determine whether further action is necessary.

Among other things, the complaint contends that the district has failed to comply with zoning, traffic and education department regulations necessary for reimbursement approval.

It also alleges the school board has failed to properly advertise its public meetings for 2009 in violation of the state's open-meetings law. In December, the school board voted to advertise its meetings in The Times. But no record of Blackhawk meeting notices turned up in a review of newspaper legal ads.

A media law expert with the Pennsylvania Newspaper Association said a court could void all action taken by a board during meetings that were not properly advertised.

Blackhawk Superintendent Paul T. Kasunich said Friday he believed all board meetings have been properly advertised. He refused to comment on other specific allegations, saying he had not had a chance to review them.

But he characterized the allegations as "untrue."

"These people can say whatever they want," he said. "It's certainly their right."

In the case of zoning, Chippewa Township Manager Mark Taylor said the school district has met most of the requirements.

Inman, who previously served for years on the school board and as a Patterson Township supervisor, said the purpose of the complaint is to force the board to follow proper procedure.

But the underlying motive, he said, is to delay the process until after the municipal election this year. Residents opposed to the building project are running a slate of five candidates -- including Inman and Burger -- in an attempt to gain a board majority and stop the project.

CALKINS MEDIA
CHIPPEWA TWP. - A slate of five candidates opposed to a proposed building project in the Blackhawk School District is running for school board this year in an attempt to win a board majority and quash the plan.

The current board plans to eliminate Highland Middle School and build a $36.5 million middle school addition at the high school on Blackhawk Road.

Opponents say the plan is unnecessary and too costly.
The opposition candidates say they are running for the express purpose of winning a board majority and stopping the project. They also say they fear project costs would prohibit spending for such things as teacher salaries, school supplies and expanded student programs.

Proponents, including the current school board and administration, argue that the project is necessary to upgrade deteriorating buildings and offer students state-of-the-art learning facilities.

They maintain that the district would have enough cash left over to pay for a new contract for teachers, supplies and expanded programs.

School administrators have said the project would require tax increases totaling 6 mills over the next four years, but opponents think it could be more. They favor renovating the existing middle school.

Five of the nine school board seats are up for election this year, and a total of 10 candidates are running for them.

The candidates include incumbents Jeffrey R. Emge, David J. Gabauer and Kevin Klein. Two other incumbents - Janice Wagoner of Darlington Township and board President Richard Caputo of Chippewa Township - are not running.

Emge, Gabauer and Klein could not be reached for comment.
The opposition slate includes Cynthia A. Burger, Chad Calabria, Don Inman, Geraldine Pander and Joyce S. Perri.
They say the project is unnecessary and too costly.

Two other candidates with no apparent association with either side also have surfaced: Crystal A. Baldwin and Kathleen Meteney.

Meteney was unavailable for an interview.

Baldwin said she has not yet made up her mind about the building project. She said she believes that the district should provide its students with the necessary education to compete in a global society.

"I think for me, there are still a lot of questions about the money and how we are going to pay for it," she said of the project. "There's been talk of tax increases or no tax increases from different sets of people. At this point, I don't have all the answers."

School officials say opposition complaint unfounded, project will overcome hurdles
Bob Bauder CALKINS MEDIA CHIPPEWA TWP. - A group opposing a building project in the Blackhawk School District was correct in one aspect of a complaint filed with the Pennsylvania Department of Education, contending the district failed to file a timely study required to receive project reimbursements.

However, school officials said last week that other parts of the complaint are unfounded.

Last week, the education department rejected the district's application for up to 21.6 percent reimbursement of the $36.5 million project, reporting that Blackhawk failed to meet a deadline for submitting a study of school facilities.

The Blackhawk administration and current school board want to eliminate Highland Middle School and build a middle school addition at the high school. Opponents hope to delay the project long enough to get a new school board majority elected in this year's municipal election and then stop the project.

The rejection will not stop it. Blackhawk architects have agreed to complete the study at no charge to the district by next month, school officials said. The district would then resubmit its reimbursement application.

But the complaint is still pending in Harrisburg.

Filed by Blackhawk residents Cynthia A. Burger of Chippewa Township and Don Inman and Frank Matsukas, both of Patterson Township, it contends among other things that the district has failed to comply with zoning, traffic and education department regulations necessary for the reimbursement application to proceed.

Last week, however, Superintendent Paul Kasunich and school board President Richard Caputo said allegations contained in the complaint were embellished.

They admitted that the district has hurdles to overcome to comply with Chippewa Township zoning regulations, including traffic and parking at the high school. The high school was built in 1972, they said, before zoning laws were amended to require a large number of parking spaces (opponents contend the number would be 1,800 spaces).

Kasunich and Caputo said the requirement was unreasonable, considering that the school was built before the zoning changed and that township officials were willing to work toward a compromise.

They said the same situation exists with traffic.

Opponents argue that traffic congestion occurs daily at the school entrance and that additional students at the high school would only compound the problem.

Kasunich and Caputo said the traffic wouldn't be any worse with the new addition.

Issues cited in the complaint, they said, are things that always crop up and must be worked through in a large building project.

"What we're saying is this is part of the process," Kasunich said. "Dialogue (with township officials) is ongoing and has been very positive."

The two officials said they anticipated the hurdles and they are confident that the district will be successful in overcoming them. They are convinced that the building project is in the best interest of the district and, over the long term, for taxpayers.

"We're doing our diligence," Caputo said. "If the (opposition gains a board majority) and the project doesn't go, it doesn't go, I guess. But we're doing what we believe is best for the students and the district facilities."

Just The Facts...
We credit Patterson Township resident and former School Board President Don Inman with first becoming aware of certain financially questionable practices.
Don spent hours gathering not only pertinent but also quite revealing information for which all Blackhawk residents need to be aware. Here are some things you need to know:

♦ The Blackhawk School District has had a declining enrollment of 40-percent since the 1973-1974 school year.

♦ The District currently has a 73-percent occupancy rate.

♦ The first architect hired by the school board, Hayes-Large, was let go. It was Hayes-Large’s recommendation that the school district pursue renovation as an alternative to a new building or addition.

♦ The minutes of the school board’s July 17, 2008 meeting do not reflect the attendance (approximately 200 people, approximately 95-percent opposed) and the testimony given by approximately 40-individuals who opposed an addition to Blackhawk High School.

A majority of the 40 individuals who spoke also expressed how a significant tax increase would place them in dire financial straits.

♦ One of the Pennsylvania Department of Education’s criterion for school building projects is that “such a project should not cause undue financial hardship for residents of the school district.”

♦ The Blackhawk School District’s 2008-2009 budget was passed with a $906,491.00 deficit, which is equal to 3.91 mills.

♦ There were no open meetings to discuss the 2008-2009 budget.

♦ The current school board was asked to and was unable to provide any quantifiable/statistical evidence that the taxpayers of the Blackhawk School District could afford a cumulative $40,000,000 bond issue BEFORE the current local, county, state and national economic crises.

♦ The current school board gave Dr. Paul Kasunich, a first term superintendent, a 14.2 percent pay increase after he recommended a deficit-budget.

♦ The current school board gave Dr. Michelle Miller, a 14.2% pay increase before she even completing her first year in the position.

♦ Act 1 also is known as the Pennsylvania Taxpayer Relief Act, but Blackhawk taxpayers can expect little relief as your property taxes have gone up each of the last four years and by a total of 10 percent in just the past two years.

So how do the tax increases benefit our students? That's tough to figure out given that the proposed 2009-2010 budget actually cuts school supplies by nearly $300,000.

♦ When asked by a coalition member how the district could or would honor its commitments, none of the current school board provided an answer.

One available option is to apply for a “variance” with the PA Department of Education to further increase the millage, an action the Blackhawk School District NEVER has taken in more than 35 years of existence.

Oh, the aforementioned figures that created our “financial deBlackle” do not factor in the millage increase necessary for the $30,000,000 bond for, in our opinion, an unnecessary middle school added to the Blackhawk High School campus or the new proposal to build a stadium at Blackhawk High School, which may cost several more million dollars.

Please Help Us Save OUR Blackhawk School District From Potential Financial Crisis!

The homecoming court is pumped for a non school sponsored bonfire, that is classy! I wonder if this would have happened at Blackhawk, or Burgettstown, or Avella, or Uniontown I mean Redstone, or Washington, or Carlyngton, or North Hills, or Bethel Park, or back in the Scott Day glory days at Trinity!
6. Did we really have an exit clock after the football game Friday night for fans to leave the stadium? Guess who didn't wait for the clock to expire?
7. Are we really going to change the seating this Friday, does the band know, do our students know, do the visiting students know?

A few musings while hoping we don't pay to much for those annoying Trinity Area School District Phone Calls

In no particular order here goes some things to make you go wow.

1. The lunch girls were back entering the school building without an appointment and just being let to go wherever they want in the building. The two shoes Colleen easy on the lean part and Sandra were seen at the Middle School inspecting lunch again. Please get the BOARD members a meal plan.
2. Did we report our team to the WPIAL for using illegal players from other schools playing for a Trinity Team or are we going to sweep it under the rug.
3. Did a BOARD member really direct a custodian to take pictures of the football locker room.
4. Did Bobby Jones really tell the youth football program the school was going to lock the bath rooms and they would have to get porta johns?
5. Did a BOARD member really call the WPIAL about the bell ringing?
6. Are we really dismissing school at 10am giving up a day of education so ten people can hold a protest, do you really think the kids won't come back. Who was the educational genius that made that decision? Was Jack Keisling in on it, sounds like 1972 Wash High riot alert?
7. Did the school official who took a school van to hockey practice face any school discipline?
8. Finally, the lunch patrol has to get on the healthy eating plan as soon as possible, maybe we could get them on the Biggest Loser School Board edition.

DON'T MISS THIS INFORMATION!

The elite eight strikes again with the choice of Nutrition Inc as our cafeteria supervisor in place of our former manager who from all accounts except for one BOARD member who got mad at him in her Trinity West days. This fine company who managed the cafeteria at Ringgold had a manager who advised employees on how to cheat on their applications to receive free and reduced lunch. He himself claimed his dog as his dependent. The only winner on the free reduced lunch scam, you guessed it Nutrition Inc. who submits to the government for reimbursement! Nice choice by the education minded not many of us have a college degree Elite Eight.
This one is better, a Trinity Area Athletic Team under advisement by new Athletic Director Bobby Jones played students who don't go to Trinity on a Trinity Team. I don't know what the penalty is but this obviously is not legal and I am sure we will read more about this in the local sports section soon.
Scott Day now helps with Cross Country he was seen helping again with Bobby Jones as the Unoffical Assistant Athletic Director today.
Remember these words "hockey tickets" you will here much more soon. It can't be possible that a school official used a school vehicle for personal use can it!
Thats all fokes I have open house tomorrow at the high school I am sure I will see some of the Elite Eight at the open house. Plenty of snacks should remain from the 9/11 festival.

TRUE OR FALSE

1. A school district administrator has been using a district vehicle for his own personal use?
2. Sandra Clutter said the football team practices five hours a night at the BOARD meeting?
3. Tamara Salvatori is now thinking on her own and doing whats best for students?
4. The BOARD does not permit the assistant superintendent in executive session?
5. Jack Keisling is getting harder to understand each meeting?
6. A Schweinebraten bus was parked at an attorneys office near the school during school hours alledgedly driven by a BOARD member?
7. Bobby Jones was seen at a sporting event?
8. Colleen Interval believes the louder you talk the more that makes you right?
9. Scott Day never played a varsity sport?
10. Sandra Clutter is now in a dispute with Henry Clemens?
11. None of the new members of the Trinity Sports Hall[Bodnovich, Day, Clutter] of Fame Committee played a Varsity sport?

Another Interval Policy!

As if we have not done enough without thinking, Coleen Interval[one of the two shoes] again seems to be rushing into another policy that is about athletics, this time she is smarter than the PIAA who governs sports. Maybe we need to see her transcripts from high school first, as she was obviously a great high school student. What University was that again she attended?
My children stopped buying school lunch, in the past I gave them five dollars a day. I understand healthy eating habits are important, but allegedly we now bake fries that the label says deep fry only...is that legal.
Is it possible one of our Chefs alegedly has a snuff can in his pocket during lunch in plain sight of the students.
Why dont BOARD members sign in when they enter the school building during the day and who should be enforcing this policy.
Scott Day might be soon named an Assistant Athletic Director he is in Bobby Jones office enough to have his own desk.
One of our BOARD members went crazy on a Trinity South Football Coach allegedly telling him it was a privledge for them to use our school districts fields. Um...they are tax payers
Last count 9/11 celebration at Trinity ten cars including Board Members, Superintendent, Honored Guest, Board Members Dad, is that maybe telling you something.
Subtract another job duty Pep Rallies.
Some food service companies in order to get contracts give school officials professional sports tickets, like hockey, thought you might want to know that unusual fact.
By law a school board member is only a school board member during a scheduled meeting... in other words any parent should be allowed to visit the buildings without signing in and see whoever they want correct?

SCHOOL HAS STARTED SOME THOUGHTS AFTER LISTENING TO MY KIDS

Some new thoughts after thinking the Elite 8 might have really fired everyone up by fixing lunch.
1. Lead by example we have seen you guys eat at Eat'n Park after BOARD meetings
2. How many school lunches are Scott Day and his wife going to eat this year. Do they have a lunch account!
3. If you really wanted thousands of candidates for the Athletic Director position at Trinity all you had to do is write a job description. Wanted Athletic Director at AAAA high School, 75,000 dollars a year, no experience required, fulltime secretary, no responsibily for athletic transportation, no responsibility for confirming games, and you are not required to work more than 40 hours in a week. You would have had thousands wanting the job. You can also start your new job before you have completed the application process or you have your clearances or passed a drug test, well you get it.
4. Why don't Board members have to sign in when they enter school buildings.
5. Let's make BOARD Members get Clearances.
6. Lets make BOARD members pass drug tests.
7. Before his tenure is over here will the superintendent ever take a position on anything.
8. I still don't understand how a school bus driver is permitted in any way any contact with a school official that is her boss, this must be a conflict of interest.
9. September 11th 9/11 is a great date to pick for the Bobby Jones reception!
10. Our board president was running his mouth again at the Post Office on his cell phone dropping names outloud and saying non truths about issues and people!
11. Wonder why the hate group picked Trinity to hold a rally, seems suspicious to me.

It now takes three to replace Dalton!!

It appears new Athletic Director Bobby Jones is getting even more help in the position. The district has just announced that they will now staff athletics with a fulltime secretary by taking a secretary from the main office. Since his arrival Mr. Jones has lost the responsibility of the Athletic Transportation, and now gained a fulltime secretary. My math says that it has now taken three people to replace Mr. Dalton as Athletic Director and sporting events have not even started yet this year. It will be interesting to see if Mr. Jones is required to go to games or if even more help is used to cover sporting events. This circus needs a tent over the top as chaos, is now becoming the norm at Trinity and it is sad.
PS: Tell your high school student to be prepared the new high school cafeteria is ready for operation and it will remind you of 1965!!! The elite 8 have struck again, this time in the cafeteria!

Bristor Back as Hiller Baseball Coach!

Finally, some good news from the world that is Trinity Area School District Board Meetings. The BOARD who recently passed a rule that said no administrator could coach, failed to open Levi Bristor's Baseball Position within 90 days after the season as required by the professional contract currently in effect. Translation, Levi Bristor is back where he belongs as the Head Baseball Coach at Trinity, and furthermore it calls into conflict the last policy. Now in my opinion, not allowing administrators to coach might very well void the new policy, if challenged by an administrator. This time the BOARD's incompetence was a good thing!
Finally, Cinderella has nothing on our two Cinderella's and their magic slippers, ask someone who was there I can't put into words what happened its to funny.

PONY WORLD SERIES VOLUNTEERS

It seems odd that we have a new large group of BOARD members working the door at the Pony World Series. On a given night you could see two, three, or even four BOARD members at the PONY gate selling tickets or collecting tickets. Scott Day the BOARD member in charge of the Trinity Area Finance Committee hopefully has a system in place to monitor the revenue received and balance it against the tickets sold, so people will never question anyones honesty. An idea might be to ask Ken Bonnell, who has a long history with Booster organizations, and youth sports to help with the audit.

Wednesday, August 11, 2010

It just keeps getting better!

Allegedly, we are learning that new Athletic Director, Bob Jones has had many of the former responsibilities of former Athletic Director, Ed Dalton removed from his job duties. It appears that all transportation of athletic events will now be handled by Transportation Director Levi Bristor, Dalton did the athletic transportation when he served as the athletic director. This appears to be an attempt to make it difficult or impossible for Bristor to coach baseball. It also raises many questions about the new Athletic Director's $75,000.00 salary with no experience and less to do, compared to Bristors $35,000.00 salary with experience and more to do. There is an Armageddon but its not financial, its in leadership by the new Superintendent who appears to be over his head in this job!

What happened to Financial Armageddon?

Some thoughts as I try to understand how this BOARD of business people is saving the tax payers money. I remember one of Mr. Keisling rambling speeches about the new administrator contract and how they had to pay for health care and this is just the first step in saving money. The second step my opinion, must have been trying to get rid of any coach who has their teams in the playoffs every year, that must save on transportation.[we know transportation, we have multiple bus drivers and former bus drivers on our board] The third step, I am guessing was to hire Levi Bristor as Transportation Director with no experience[and from all accounts he has done a great job] and over pay him at $35,000. [no wait that was the previous BOARD] This BOARD, the business people hired an Athletic Director for $75,000 with no experience and no disrespect a stunning 35% winning percentage as a basketball coach, that makes business sense. Don't forget we do have a former basketball great on the BOARD, he must have been a large part in this decision. Step four, in what I am calling the Keisling Doctorine,im guessing would be to transfer Mr. Dalton to a teaching position and pay him 80,000 instead of $88,000 as an Athletic Director who has to work 250 day instead of 190 days, do that math. Well it is reality TV at its best the BOARD has a list I will fill you in on who allegedly is next up for the Elite 8, as well as look back at Burgettstown High School and one of their graduates!

ELITE 8 TURN TO BOBBY JONES AS NEW AD

Although the agenda read Charlie Kiss to be hired as Athletic Director at $69,000 and the overhead read the same until the last second, the final result was not Charlie Kiss at all, it was Bobby Jones. Jones who has never been an Athletic Director has been a long time College Basketball Coach most recently at Saint Francis University where he recorded an overall mark of 85 - 157 before being let go. Jones moved back to Pittsburgh and supposedly was to have been an independent scout for the NBA[????]. He will begin August 9th at a salary of $75,000.00.
A few highlights of the evening:
1. Mr. Ed Dalton got up and spoke about how he tried not to file a law suit and explained the events as he saw them.
2. Mrs. Fancis Eates asked what would hapPen if Mr. Dalton wins his law suit, Mr. Makel said he can't comment.
3. Mr. Ray Deep spoke about the night of January 7th Mr. Bodnovich told him and another person that they had a three year deal in place with Mr. Dalton.
4. Mr. Bodnovich used a mike, but we still seemed to have problems with moving an agenda item he stated the wrong number, and adjourning the meeting was a problem.
5.Allegedly Mr. Kiss withdrew at noon but they did not have time to update the BOARD agenda.
6. Alledgedly, (I could not see where I was sitting) I missed a pair of shoes for the ages worn by one of the Elite 8.
7. We were waiting to hear Mr. Keisling give a rambling speach on how he selected the new AD but he did not, he must have been worn out working out the last minute deal.
Finally, one BOARD member says he is going to say things all the time to clear things up and then he never does, very disappointing!
ANOTHER IDEA, FOR THE FUTURE IN HIRING, IF YOU DON'T HAVE A CANDIDATE THAT DAY, CANCEL YOUR MEETING, AND START OVER BUT THEN AGAIN MAYBE SOON WE WILL HAVE TWO AD'S!
NEXT WRITING A LITTLE INFORMATION FROM BURGETTSTOWN, YOU WILL FIND IT INTERESTING!

SPECIAL BOARD MEETING!

The Trinity Area Board of Education will hold an emergency meeting tomorrow night for the purpose of hiring a new Director of Athletics to replace Ed Dalton. Allegedly the job will go to McKeesport Director of Athletics Charlie Kiss who is being pressured at McKeesport to leave over nepotism. Mr. Kiss will supposedly make 72,000 a year, and alledgedly the contract for him is three years. He resides in Penn Trafford School District in Westmoreland County.
-Alledgedly there is an interesting audio tape going around with a discussion of interesting details about a contact extension for Ed Dalton as AD and Head Football Coach in January.
-I will be at tomorrow's meeting as will many people I have talked to it should be interesting.
A FINAL THOUGHT: CAN ANYONE TELL ME IF WE HAVE OR DON'T HAVE A BASEBALL COACH?
A CHALLENGE: READ THE MINUTES FROM BOARD COMMITTEE MEETINGS AND SEE HOW MUCH TIME IS SPENT DISCUSSING ATHLETICS. THE PERSONEL COMMITTEE MINUTES ARE REALLY INTERESTING, THE MAJOR DISCUSSION WAS HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE STANDING ON THE SIDELINE DURING THE FOOTBALL GAMES!

Sunday thoughts about the Elite 8 and other thoughts

I apologize the blog site will not let me copy and load documents like Ed Dalton's lawsuit or Dennis McWreath and Jack Keisling's retirement packages. I will attempt to summerize them for everyone soon.
If you drive a bus for a company contracted by the Trinity Area School District, how can it NOT be a conflict of interest to be on the School Districts Transportation Committee. We have submitted this theory to the state for an opinion.
Alledgedly Charlie Kiss has been offered the Athletic Director Position, is he going to live in McKeesport? That would work well, aren't we worried about administrators being available at a moments notice.
Alledgedly the BOARD President appointed four additional members to the Hall of Fame Committee and then suspended the Hall of Fame or something like that; as always the gold medalist is confusing. It appears the new members are Brian Hilk a former great athlete at Trinity with children in the school district, Tom Sypula who lives in the Trinity School District but his son attended Washington on an employee voucher, Steve Day father of Scott Day[nepotism does not count unless you want it to], and John Unice former Uniontown Basketball Star[he really was on the team] and Washington and Jefferson Basketball Coach. Removed were Gerald Chambers, Jeff Miller, Sam Pugilisi, and Heather Watson.
Allegedly the BOARD might not hold work sessions any longer that would eliminate public comment on agenda topics, all explain it better in my next post.

Some thoughts after a well deserved vacation!

Here ya go:
1. I will have a copy of Mr. Dalton's entire lawsuit by tomorrow for everyone to read.
2. I have Mr. McWreath's and Mr. Keisling's retirement documents I will post them also tomorrow I am hoping.
3. If you work for the census you should not be in Claysville, during your job, talking about Trinity employee's. The person you sputtered off to told the person you were talking about and that person turned you in to the census!
4. If you ever were in charge of the 84 baseball league I hope you didn't have any problems.
5. It can't possibly be true that one of the finalist's for the Athletic Director Position, he also wants to be the football coach, is related to a BOARD member can it!
Stay tuned!

Alledgedly the two finalists for the Athletic Director Position are Mike Wall, who teaches/ and coaches football in Texas and is a Trinity Alumni, he also wants to be the head football coach[allegedly he is related to a BOARD member]
The other finalist is Charlie Kiss currently McKeesports AD, it appears Kiss is involved in some situation at McKeesport as his father is was on the school board when his contact was renewed, before he left the board, even though it was not going to expire for another year, it was controversial according to the Post-Gazette.

TRINITY AREA BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING 7.15.10

I missed this meeting but was brought up to date on the details. Here is my bullet report of highlights and insights from the meeting by people who were at the meeting.

1. Alledgedly, Tom Bodnovich was very difficult to understand again, and he made numerous mistakes again on when to vote and what was being voted on, and he informed everyone that an executive session was held to discuss personnel problems.[its personel matters Tommy] His Uniontown or Redstone or whatever education did not go over Roberts Rules very well.

2. No matter what you read in the Observer-Reporter the BOARD passed a policy prohibiting Levi Bristor from coaching baseball for Trinity. The five votes to end Levi's successful baseball tenure, Interval, Clutter, Day, Keisling, Bodnovich.

3. Why doesn't the BOARD consider a policy on physical fitness for BOARD members especially the Elite Eight? It will help make them more productive and set an example for the students.

4. Why do BOARD members bring their children to the meetings?

5. Allegedly Mr. Keisling was going to begin one of his rambling segments, but Mr. McWreath pointed out to him the information he was going to read was displayed on the screen above the BOARD members. It appeared that Mr. Keisling was disappointed he did not get to talk.

6. Supposedly, Mr. Clemens stated the BOARD did not want the policy about who can coach, that a former superintendent thought it was good idea. But allegedly that superintendent was directed by Mr. Bodnovich to write that policy.

7. Allegedly, Ken Bonnell gives the BOARD many of their good ideas.

8. Allegedly, Dr. Kasunich appears to be worn out by the Elite eight!

9. Allegedly, when Mr. Day cast the fifth vote to end Levi Bristor's baseball coaching career at Trinity, it appeared he had trouble speaking.

And one final thought given to me by the smartest man I know, with our new technology initiative, smart boards for every classroom, lap tops for every teacher, how about clip on mikes so you can hear the Elite Eight speak at BOARD Meetings!!!

Also don't forget Trinity Day at Kennywood!

Really Now?

Allegedly the following things have occured:

1. At least two members of the BOARD have filed lawsuits against tax payers and parents of Trinity students.

2. Judy Panasik also filed lawsuit against a parent, she is the women who films the BOARD meetings and hangs out with the Board members. [is she employed anywhere?]

3. Attorney fees since January are growing and growing as soon as I get the paperwork I will tell you the exact amount.

4. Trinity Math replace Jim Tucker first year teacher making approx 40,000 a year with Ed Dalton making 80,000 a year and Ed will always be about 40,000 ahead of him for 15 years until Tucker would have reached max salary. Cost to District 600,000 over 15 years smart!

5. One of our group has the details of both Mr. McWreath's and Mr. Keisling's final salary, retirement incentive, and benefit package, we will publish as soon as it is available to us.

Important Questions to ask BOARD Members

A few important questions to ask BOARD Members:

1. Did two current BOARD Members one who was not on the BOARD at the time, demand Dr. Tim Marks suspend a football player for the Mars playoff game?
2. How was the non BOARD members at the time of the Mars Game she did not take office until December given confidential student information?
3. Did a current BOARD member try to have a wrestling coach fired while they were not on the BOARD and have no children in the program?
4. Did Blackhawk try to remove its Athletic Director this past year?
5. Did any of the current BOARD members play high school athletics at the Varsity level?
6. How many of the current BOARD members have an advanced degree?
7. Why were four members of the Trinity Hall of Fame Committee removed arbitrarily from the organization?
8. Why were those four selected for removal?
9. Did any current BOARD member ever enter a school without permission and remove a ceiling tile?
10. Was any current BOARD Member ever in a physical altercation at the High School?

Finally some good news:
It appears the Trinity Area School Board will reverse itself on its policy about administrators coaching and Mr. Bristor will be allowed to continue to coach!!!

DR. PAUL KASUNICH BACKGROUND

Here is the educational leadership background of Dr. Paul Kasunich, this might explain why he is so hesitant to get involved and take a position. TRINITY AREA SCHOOL BOARD REPORT 7.1.10

Tonights Trinity Area School Board Meeting was another in a long line of frustrating meetings to sit and endure. Large groups have people have turned out against many of the policies the BOARD has tryed to institute but it does not seem like the BOARD cares much about what the people have to say. Below I have attempted to give you a few highlights as I see them from the 7.1.10 meeting.

1. Board President Tom Bodnovich brought the meeting to order and you can barely understand what he says when he speaks, it makes for much confusion during the meetings.

2. A group of students wore maroon t-shirts that said Uniontown on one side and Fraudnovich on the other side. This seems to be because Mr. Bodnovich claimed to have played basketball at Uniontown High School on state championship teams, but the truth is he did not attend Uniontown High School.

3. Mr. Keisling and Mr. McWreath two former School Principals seem to have quite a bit of problem with public school employees getting health care benefits. It is ironic neither of them paid for health care when they worked for their employers as Principals.

4. Dr. Kasunich the new superintendent uses your school as a reference to Trinity often even though he is the Trinity Area Superintendent.

5. Dr. Kasunich never takes a position on any issue.

6. Judy Panasik who lives next door to Mr. Keisling and hangs out with the Board spoke in favor of the job they are doing as a Board. She also mentioned it was a small group who came to these meetings who were against the new board members. She obviously is not very good at math, as tonight there were 223 people in attendance who did not support the board. The other ten other than Miss Panasik who were there were related to the Board. She left with the BOARD members led by North Franklin Police down the hall. Allegedly she waited by the BOARD members cars after the meeting.

7. Miss Panasik said she missed lunch often to take honors courses in high school at Trinity. Enough said on that subject.

8. Mr. Keisling often lectures the crowd on what is going on and why, he should notice that nobody is listening.

9. Mrs. Interval who stated in public often that she knows nothing about athletics sure spends much time writing policies about athletics.

10. I think it is a family rule that any Day family member must attend Trinity School Board meetings to watch Board member Scott Day.

FINAL THOUGHTS

1. THE BOARD POSITION HAS NOT CHANGED ON ADMINISTRATORS COACHING SO AS OF TODAY LEVI BRISTOR WILL NOT BE THE TRINITY AREA BASEBALL COACH NEXT SEASON.

2. THE BOARD IS GOING TO FURLOUGH A SOCIAL STUDIES TEACHER IN ORDER TO MAKE ROOM FOR MR. DALTON IN THE SOCIAL STUDIES DEPARTMENT. DALTON'S CONTACT SAYS IF A POSITION IS NOT AVAILABLE ONE WILL BE CREATED, FORLOUGHS CAN ONLY OCCUR WHEN ENROLLMENT DECLINES 20%. STAY TUNED!

3. HOW MUCH ARE WE PAYING ALL THESE ATTORNEYS?

4. FINALLY DR. KASUNICH SAID THE NEW BOARD DID NOT TALK ABOUT THE YOUTH FOOTBALL PROGRAM AND REQUIRING GUARDS, AMBULANCE, SCOREBOARD OPERATORS. WHEN QUESTIONED AND ASKED DOES THAT MEAN NOTHING WILL HAPPEN HE SAID HE DIDN'T SAY THAT NOTHING WOULD HAPPEN. LOOK FOR THE TRINITY PROGRAM TO NOW BE PLAYED AT CHARTIERS HOUSTON SCHOOL DISTRICT THIS YEAR.
