TRINITY AREA SCHOOL BOARD REPORT 7.1.10

Tonights Trinity Area School Board Meeting was another in a long line of frustrating meetings to sit and endure. Large groups have people have turned out against many of the policies the BOARD has tryed to institute but it does not seem like the BOARD cares much about what the people have to say. Below I have attempted to give you a few highlights as I see them from the 7.1.10 meeting.

1. Board President Tom Bodnovich brought the meeting to order and you can barely understand what he says when he speaks, it makes for much confusion during the meetings.

2. A group of students wore maroon t-shirts that said Uniontown on one side and Fraudnovich on the other side. This seems to be because Mr. Bodnovich claimed to have played basketball at Uniontown High School on state championship teams, but the truth is he did not attend Uniontown High School.

3. Mr. Keisling and Mr. McWreath two former School Principals seem to have quite a bit of problem with public school employees getting health care benefits. It is ironic neither of them paid for health care when they worked for their employers as Principals.

4. Dr. Kasunich the new superintendent uses your school as a reference to Trinity often even though he is the Trinity Area Superintendent.

5. Dr. Kasunich never takes a position on any issue.

6. Judy Panasik who lives next door to Mr. Keisling and hangs out with the Board spoke in favor of the job they are doing as a Board. She also mentioned it was a small group who came to these meetings who were against the new board members. She obviously is not very good at math, as tonight there were 223 people in attendance who did not support the board. The other ten other than Miss Panasik who were there were related to the Board. She left with the BOARD members led by North Franklin Police down the hall. Allegedly she waited by the BOARD members cars after the meeting.

7. Miss Panasik said she missed lunch often to take honors courses in high school at Trinity. Enough said on that subject.

8. Mr. Keisling often lectures the crowd on what is going on and why, he should notice that nobody is listening.

9. Mrs. Interval who stated in public often that she knows nothing about athletics sure spends much time writing policies about athletics.

10. I think it is a family rule that any Day family member must attend Trinity School Board meetings to watch Board member Scott Day.

FINAL THOUGHTS

1. THE BOARD POSITION HAS NOT CHANGED ON ADMINISTRATORS COACHING SO AS OF TODAY LEVI BRISTOR WILL NOT BE THE TRINITY AREA BASEBALL COACH NEXT SEASON.

2. THE BOARD IS GOING TO FURLOUGH A SOCIAL STUDIES TEACHER IN ORDER TO MAKE ROOM FOR MR. DALTON IN THE SOCIAL STUDIES DEPARTMENT. DALTON'S CONTACT SAYS IF A POSITION IS NOT AVAILABLE ONE WILL BE CREATED, FORLOUGHS CAN ONLY OCCUR WHEN ENROLLMENT DECLINES 20%. STAY TUNED!

3. HOW MUCH ARE WE PAYING ALL THESE ATTORNEYS?

4. FINALLY DR. KASUNICH SAID THE NEW BOARD DID NOT TALK ABOUT THE YOUTH FOOTBALL PROGRAM AND REQUIRING GUARDS, AMBULANCE, SCOREBOARD OPERATORS. WHEN QUESTIONED AND ASKED DOES THAT MEAN NOTHING WILL HAPPEN HE SAID HE DIDN'T SAY THAT NOTHING WOULD HAPPEN. LOOK FOR THE TRINITY PROGRAM TO NOW BE PLAYED AT CHARTIERS HOUSTON SCHOOL DISTRICT THIS YEAR.

  1. Great recap....both accurate and informative! Any idea how much the school board/taxpayers have spent on attorney's fees?

  2. Isn't the board supose to represent the people ? If most people including myself want coach Dalton and all the other administrators to say as coaches then they as the board should represent the people! Also, why did we vote this board into power ?
